Priority Points System
Davidson College Athletics is updating our Priority Points System starting with the 2017-18 season. The only change in the system is the ability to earn more points per dollar through your charitable giving to Davidson.
Priority Points are now awarded at a rate of 8 points per $100.00 of prior fiscal year donations, as opposed to 0.5 points per $1,000.00 of lifetime giving in the previous configuration. Calculations are based on the fiscal year of July 1 - June 30, and gifts made to Davidson between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 were the first scored under the new system. Points are calculated each July after the close of the prior fiscal year and remain until tabulated again after the close of the current fiscal year.
An individual’s point total is calculated using the formula outlined in the table below. (Spouses’ points are combined and assigned to both individuals.) Priority point totals will be used to make the following ticket allocations and assignments:
- Assignment of Belk Arena seating for new ticket applications.
- Determination of an individual’s eligibility to purchase post season tournament tickets
- Assignment of seats for post season tournament games
- Allocation of tickets for road and neutral site men’s basketball games.
