The Beacon Service Project

Volunteers will serve lunch, help in the kitchen, and/or help with laundry. Registration limited to the first 20 to sign up.
Parking is FREE to Beacon volunteers on the day of their volunteer shift. Please park in the Episcopal Diocese’s parking garage. Parking validation will be provided for you at the end of your shift. See the attached driving directions for a more detailed description of how to get to our facility.
Volunteers should wear pants, closed-toed shoes, and non-revealing clothing. The Beacon’s volunteer policy prohibits anyone under the age of 13 from volunteering in the Day Center.
Where to Go Once You Get Here: Please enter our facility through the Beacon Volunteer Entrance. The entrance is located on the backside of our building and faces Texas Avenue. Please do not enter the building through the Prairie Street entrance.
