The African Community Center Service Project
Saturday, April 22, 2017 1 p.m.
International CITY Youth Program (Mango House) 1532 Galena St. Aurora, CO 80010 Located near Colfax Ave. and Havana St. Click here for map and directions.
The African Community Center (ACC) is one of three organizations in the Denver metro area focusing on the resettlement of refugee families.
We will participate in a potluck style, joint community/cultural exchange involving Davidson alumni families, International CITY refugee students and their families, and other individuals connected to the activities at the Mango House, the site of ACC’s Youth Program. We will learn basic greetings in various languages from wall posters, a sharing of favorite songs from both communities, dancing, etc.
During the week prior to this potluck (April 17-21), there are spaces for 2-4 different Davidson individuals to come to the Mango House between 4-7 p.m. to meet, tutor and connect with the high school aged refugee students. We'll also help make international greeting posters and family invitations for the Saturday event.
Please register below by Wednesday, April 12.
