Join your fellow Denver-area Wildcats for a meaningful virtual conversation about one of the most significant additions to the Davidson College campus. In October 2025, the college dedicated With These Hands: A Memorial to the Enslaved and Exploited. We are bringing together some experts who helped shape this project for an exclusive look at its history, curation and lasting impact on our community.
Our panel features key voices involved in the memorial’s inception and the preservation of its history: Lia Newman: Director & Curator of the Van Every/Smith Galleries and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Davidson, and Marty Gimson: Historic Sites and Program Manager, Beaver Dam and Cintra Pollack ‘99: Denver alumna and Board of Trustee member who served on the Special Committee for Commemoration. The conversation will be moderated by Aimée Nieuwenhuizen ‘10, Denver Chapter Co-President.
