Didn’t get the chance to join the New York City regional chapter at St. Bart’s for our sandwich making service project? Don’t fret–we have two more service projects coming up that you can join: volunteer with Brooklyn Book Bodega and help increase book access in our community or volunteer with Riverkeeper’s Hudson River Cleanup and help protect our local waterways.

Both of these projects are great opportunities to make a tangible impact while giving back locally. Connect with fellow Davidson alumni, family and friends as we come together to support literacy for all!

Please register by Wednesday, April 30. Volunteers will work together to remove litter and debris from the Hudson River shoreline, supporting cleaner water and healthier ecosystems. Whether you're an experienced environmentalist or new to river cleanups, your help is invaluable!

What to bring and wear:

• Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a full reusable water bottle
• Work gloves and hand sanitizer (volunteer leaders may request additional items)
• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (long pants and long-sleeved shirts recommended to protect against poison ivy and ticks)
• Sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots and clothes that can get dirty
• Avoid bringing extra bags, as there will be no storage on-site
